Meet the Team

Ryan Boyer, Chair

Ryan N. Boyer is the Business Manager for the Philadelphia Building and Construction Trades Council, a consortium of more than 50 labor unions in Philadelphia’s building and construction
Trades, and he has served as Business Manager of the Laborers District Council of the Metropolitan Area of Philadelphia, Baltimore Washington and Vicinity, the parent body of six local unions with over 12,000 members.

Ryan was selected by Governor Wolf and approved by the Pennsylvania State Legislature to serve on the Council of Trustees for Cheyney University of Pennsylvania, the nation’s oldest historically Black college. Soon after his appointment, he was named Chair by the members of the Council. He also serves on the Board of Directors for FS Investments – Credit Real Estate Income Trust. He also served on several other boards and commissions including the Philadelphia Workforce Investment Board (Philly Works), the Philadelphia Jobs Commission, and the City of Philadelphia Tax Review Board.

Della Clark, Vice Chair

Della Clark is the President of The Enterprise Center, an organization at the forefront of the Greater Philadelphia region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, guided by the mission to cultivate and invest in minority entrepreneurs to inspire economic growth in communities. Under Della’s leadership, businesses have obtained more than $1.3 billion in contracts, $215 million in financing, and created 4,757 jobs through the PA & NJ Minority Business Development Agency Business Centers. She led efforts to create the Dorrance H. Hamilton Center for Culinary Enterprises, a 13,000+ square-foot food business incubator and hub of community health and nutrition resources in West Philadelphia, now in its 10th year of operation.

 

Recently, Della launched a new fund, Innovate Capital Growth Fund, a Small Business Investment Company whose mission is to bridge the capital gap for minority enterprises. The goal for Fund 1 is $50 million and the investment thesis is: to build the balance sheet and scale minority standout companies to create wealth and a new model for future investments.

 

Della currently serves as a board member for the Philadelphia Equity Alliance, University City

District, and Bridge of Hope CDC and serves as a Trustee of Drexel University. She serves as an Independent Board member on FSCO Investments. She is also a proud Eisenhower Fellow.

Gregory Segall, Vice Chair

Gregory L. Segall is the founder and Chairman of Philadelphia-based investment and advisory firms Versa Capital and Mantis Group. A seasoned investor, advisor and operator, he has engaged in private equity, corporate finance, and capital markets for over 30 years.

 

Greg’s active civic engagement includes current service as a Trustee of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA); past Chairman and Trustee of the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center of Philadelphia (CCTC); past Board member of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts; and past Governor/Trustee of the State Bar of California by legislative appointment.

 

He is a graduate of Pepperdine University and a member of several business and professional organizations including YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization) and CEO (Chief Executives Organization). Greg and his wife Rebecca, an accomplished artist and gallerist, live and work in Center City and have six grown children.
